The Nigeria AI Lab at the University of Lagos is inviting applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow position.
The role focuses on developing foundational AI models for Yoruba and Hausa language translation, with emphasis on Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Transformers, and Low-Resource Language Modeling.
Salary: 6-10million annual salary.
Requirements:
PhD in AI, Computer Science, NLP, Machine Learning, or related field
Strong research background and ability to conduct independent, high-quality research
Experience with NLP and low-resource languages is an advantage
Must be based in Lagos or willing to relocate
